Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and she were two of the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. Alison Krauss started her music career at a young age she was winning competitions in her local area at the age of 10. Her first recording was her first time at age 14. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. After that, she was asked to join Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs together. Her debut album in a group with this band was released in 1989.
