Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco and moved to California when she was five. She was raised mainly within Orange County. She received her graduation at the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was the same year she got her breakthrough in acting. Pernas started her acting career by playing tiny roles in NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the part of Marisa. The actress, who quit The soap after 2016 landed the role as Catalina as a regular in Jane the Virgin. The actress speaks four languages and has since appeared on The Brave with Hannah Rivera in addition to The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals.
