April Bowlby is an American actress and model. The actress was known as Kandi, Stacy Barrett and Rita Farr from the CBS Comedy series Two and a Half Men. April Michelle Bowlby (born April Michelle Bowlby) is an American actress who is best known for playing Stacy Barrett in Drop Dead Diva as well as Kandi the sitcom on TV Two and a Half Men. The modeling industry was her first profession before she moved into films and TV shows. The first time she appeared on screen was as an extra in the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation followed by single-episode appearances in other series. Then she landed the breakout role of Kandi on Two and a Half Men. Bowlby's performance as Stacy Barrett on the series Drop Dead Diva earned her international recognition. She was the main character of Rita Farr/Elastigirl in the American web-based series Titans. A spin-off of the series Doom Patrol will see her reprise her role as the character. Bowlby was also seen on TV in films such as Sands of Oblivion, The Wrong Daughter as well as Sands of Oblivion 2. Her first big screen appearance was with All Roads Lead Home. Then she appeared in movies such as The Slammin Salmon, and From Prada To Nada. April Michelle Bowlby has been an American actor for over an entire decade. She is known best for her recurring part on CBS comedy Two and a Half Men. Bowlby was born and was raised in Manteca. She was a student at East Union High School. Following her studies in ballet and French in Moorpark College, Bowlby decided to pursue an acting profession. She studied with Ivana Chaubbuck. She was offered an appearance on a TV show (Kandi, Two and a Half Men) months after she had her Hollywood audition. Bowlby's TV credits include CSI, where she played Kaitlin rackish in the year 2004 CSI: NY and CSI: NY, in which she played Jenny Lee in 5, Freddie: Sydney as Sydney in 5 and How I Met Your Mother: Meg. Recently, Bowlby took on the role as Natasha on All Roads Lead Home a 2007 film about a 12-year-old year old girl who loses her mother in an automobile accident. Bowlby stars as Mia in The Slammin Salmon, a comedy film due for release in the year 2008. She resides with her family in Los Angeles. She has natural red hair as well as blue eyes. The couple isn't married and she has no kids.
