Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. There are more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk rock and alternative rock but has additional elements of punk, funk, hip beat and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the pioneer of DIY music. She was among the very first musicians to launch the label she created in the year 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian ancestry and her mom was born in Montreal. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The track is part of her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. One version of this song can be heard on the 1999 Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it was revealed that she planned to host an event for three days at the Louisiana slave plantation. Even though she canceled the event several individuals (including our paper) did not see any regret. DiFranco issued a further apology a few days later. Little Folksinger is a singer who has collaborated with artists ranging from Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is a friend of Kristen Ford. At the age of 14, she began creating her own music. The teens she was in were performing them in bars and cafes. DiFranco attended Buffalo State College after graduating at the age of 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
