Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding, 30 December 1986, in Hereford, England) is a English artist and singer. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top of the charts with her electro pop style after she drew the attention of the world by releasing "Starry Eyed,"" along with "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands at the forefront as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music, and independent, artistic pop. Her soprano voice as well as her knack for writing emotionally honest songs are what make her unique.
